Best way to get snake tame/adjusted to me?
I am getting a BP soon for the first time and I love them but am still a bit jumpy/shaky holding one, especially when it coils back (I think its going to strike me). What are some ways to get a new snake used to me holding it and to make sure I help it have a tame temperament? I hope to hold my snake a lot including letting it chill on my shoulders as I go about my day. Thanks for all your help!

Good question, My son ( 9 ) is going through the same phase, I suggest first get a feeling at first purchase, see how the seller handles the snake, pay attention to if it is shy or could are less. Temperament comes with trust trust comes over time. Be sure to let your little guy chill out in its new home for a week or so before you start handling it. I use a snake hook to get my snakes out of their cage and then support their body until I remove them form the hook, shy snakes that pull their head away dosn’t mean they are about to strike, but if it makes you comfortable go ahead and use some garden gloves until you are comfortable enough to handle them
sounds silly but I have a tree boa I still have to use welding gloves with
Well, I don’t have that problem with Cleo, but I would advise just spending quality time with it.
